Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 7, 2026
The Wild Adventure Girls, Inc. (“WAG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit wildadventuregirls.com or thewagpodcast.com and their respective pages and features, including our interactive features (collectively, the “Site”).
By using the Site, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with the Site.
Information You Provide
You may choose to provide information when you contact us, submit an inquiry, subscribe to communications, or participate in an interactive feature.
This may include:
- your name;
- email address;
- company or brand;
- reason for contacting us;
- partnership interests;
- information contained in your message or inquiry;
- a vote, quiz answer, or poll choice you select on an interactive feature;
- the text of a question you submit;
- newsletter subscription information; and
- other information you voluntarily provide.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information through our Site forms or interactive features.
We do not require visitors to create an account to access the Site, and the Site does not currently collect payment information directly. If we introduce accounts, profiles, saved progress, or similar features in the future, we will update this section to describe what account information is collected and how it is used.
Interactive Features
The Site includes interactive features such as WAG Verdict, WAG Match, Vote for Your Favorite WAG Segment, Questions Featured, WAG Awards, and similar features that may be added over time (collectively, “Interactive Features”).
When you use an Interactive Feature:
- Votes and quiz answers are recorded as an anonymous choice (for example, “yes,” a segment name, or which quiz result you received). We do not attach your name or email address to a vote or quiz answer unless you separately choose to provide your email through a consent checkbox on the same page.
- Free-text submissions (for example, a question submitted through Questions Featured) are stored along with an optional name you choose to provide. We do not require your email address to submit a question.
- Your browser remembers that you’ve already participated in a given Interactive Feature (so we don’t ask you to vote or take the same quiz twice) using your browser’s local storage, not a server-side account. See “Local Storage” below.
- If you check a consent box to be emailed about an Interactive Feature (for example, “email me when this Verdict is revealed” or “email me the next WAG Match quiz”), your email address and your consent choices are sent to Beehiiv, our email service provider, and tagged so we know which promise to keep. See “WAG Insider and Email Communications” below.
Participation in an Interactive Feature is voluntary, free, and does not require a purchase. Interactive Features are entertainment and engagement tools, not sweepstakes, contests, or prize drawings — see our Terms of Service for more detail.
Future Products and Features
WAG is a growing media company. Over time, we may introduce natural extensions of the Site — for example, additional interactive experiences, memberships, digital products, community features, software tools that support the platform, educational resources, or physical products.
This Privacy Policy is written to apply to those future offerings using the same categories described here — information you provide, information collected automatically, and information handled by our service providers. Nothing in this Policy should be read as announcing or promising a specific new product. When we do introduce one that collects information in a materially different way than described here, we will update this Policy before or at the time it becomes available.
Local Storage
In addition to cookies, the Site uses your browser’s local storage (a standard web-browser feature, separate from cookies) to remember:
- whether you’ve already voted, taken a quiz, or submitted a question on a given Interactive Feature, so you see your result or a “thanks” message on a return visit instead of being asked again;
- which Adventure Map locations you’ve already explored, if you use that feature.
Local storage data stays in your own browser. It is not automatically transmitted to WAG’s servers as a separate data collection event — it only affects what a page shows you, and (where relevant) is included in the same request when you actually submit a vote, quiz answer, or consent form as described above. You can clear local storage through your browser’s settings at any time; doing so may cause an Interactive Feature to treat you as a first-time visitor again.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, WAG and service providers used to operate, secure, measure, or deliver the Site may automatically receive certain technical or usage information.
Depending on the technologies enabled on the Site, this may include:
- IP address;
- browser type;
- device type and operating system;
- referring page or source;
- pages visited;
- dates and times of visits;
- approximate geographic information derived from technical data;
- interactions with Site features;
- cookie or similar technology information; and
- other technical information used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and understand use of the Site.
IP address and abuse prevention. When you submit a vote, quiz answer, or question through an Interactive Feature, our hosting provider (Netlify) briefly records your IP address alongside a count of recent submissions, solely to detect and block automated or abusive rapid-fire submissions. This record is not combined with your name, email, or the content of what you submitted, and is used only for this security purpose.
The specific information collected may vary as our technology and service providers change.
How We Use Information
We may use information collected through the Site to:
- operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
- respond to messages and inquiries;
- evaluate partnership, sponsorship, licensing, speaking, media, or other business inquiries;
- send WAG Insider or other communications requested by subscribers, including the specific Interactive Feature updates you opted into;
- manage subscriptions and unsubscribe requests;
- display aggregate results of votes, polls, and quizzes (for example, “62% said yes”);
- consider free-text submissions (such as questions) for possible use in future content;
- understand Site traffic, performance, and audience engagement;
- diagnose technical problems and prevent abuse, fraud, spam, or security threats;
- protect WAG, our users, our intellectual property, and our legal rights;
- comply with applicable laws and lawful requests; and
- support legitimate business operations related to the Site.
We do not sell personal information for money.
We do not knowingly use personal information collected through this Site to create targeted advertising profiles of children under 13.
Forms
The Site may use Netlify Forms or similar service-provider technology to process contact and business inquiry submissions.
When you submit a form, the information entered in the form and certain technical or submission-related information may be processed and stored by the service provider on our behalf to deliver the requested functionality.
Some forms may include information about the page or source associated with the submission so that we can understand the context of an inquiry.
Service providers process information subject to their applicable agreements, policies, and legal obligations.
Interactive Feature Data Storage
Votes, poll choices, and free-text question submissions made through Interactive Features are stored using Netlify Blobs, a data-storage service provided by our hosting provider, separate from the Beehiiv email platform described below. This storage holds the vote/choice/submission itself; it does not include your email address unless you separately opted in through a consent checkbox, in which case your email is sent to Beehiiv, not stored alongside the vote itself.
WAG Insider and Email Communications
WAG Insider subscriptions and related email communications, including Interactive Feature notifications, may be processed using Beehiiv or another email service provider.
When you subscribe or check a consent box, information such as your email address and information associated with subscription or email activity may be processed to provide and manage the newsletter, deliver the specific message you opted into (for example, a Verdict reveal notification or a new WAG Match quiz announcement), maintain subscription preferences, measure email performance where enabled, maintain security, and support other functionality provided through the service.
Transactional vs. marketing consent. Our consent checkboxes are intentionally separate: checking a box to be notified about one specific Interactive Feature does not add you to general WAG Insider marketing unless you also check the separate marketing box. We apply a specific tag matching only the promise you agreed to.
You may unsubscribe from marketing or newsletter emails at any time using the unsubscribe link included in those messages.
Transactional or individually requested communications may not be subject to the same unsubscribe mechanism, though you may always contact us directly to stop receiving them.
Analytics
We use analytics services, including Google Analytics and Ahrefs Analytics, to understand how visitors find and use the Site, measure Site performance, and understand how Interactive Features are used in aggregate.
Depending on our configuration and the provider’s technology, analytics services may process information such as device and browser information, pages visited, referral source, approximate location, interactions (including which Interactive Features you view or complete, tracked in aggregate, not tied to your name), IP-derived information, cookies, or other identifiers.
Analytics providers may process information according to their own policies and our configuration of their services.
Where required by applicable law, we will obtain consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site and third-party services integrated with it may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for functions such as:
- operating Site features, including remembering your progress on an Interactive Feature;
- remembering preferences;
- security and fraud prevention;
- analytics and performance measurement;
- delivering embedded media; and
- providing newsletter or other integrated functionality.
WAG’s own code does not set cookies directly. Cookies present on the Site come from third-party services we use — Google Analytics, Ahrefs Analytics, YouTube, and Beehiiv’s embedded subscribe widget — as part of their normal operation.
Some third-party services may set or access their own cookies or similar technologies when their features are loaded or used.
The cookies and technologies available on the Site may change as Site features change.
You can control certain cookies through your browser settings and, where provided, Site privacy or consent controls. Blocking some technologies may affect Site functionality, including your ability to use Interactive Features.
Embedded Content and Third-Party Platforms
The Site may display, embed, link to, or otherwise integrate content and services from third parties, such as YouTube, Spotify, Instagram, TikTok, Apple Podcasts, Beehiiv, and other platforms.
When third-party content or functionality loads or when you interact with it, the third party may receive information about your device, browser, IP address, interaction, or use of its service and may use cookies or similar technologies.
Those third parties determine their own privacy practices. Their collection and use of information are governed by their respective policies, not this Privacy Policy.
A link to or integration with a third-party service does not mean WAG controls or is responsible for that service’s privacy or security practices.
Service Providers and Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information to vendors and service providers that perform services for us or help us operate the Site and our business, such as:
- website hosting and infrastructure (Netlify, including Netlify Forms and Netlify Blobs);
- form processing;
- email delivery and newsletter management (Beehiiv);
- analytics (Google Analytics, Ahrefs Analytics);
- security and fraud prevention;
- technical support; and
- other operational services.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- comply with applicable law, legal process, or lawful government requests;
- enforce our agreements or protect our legal rights;
- investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unlawful activity;
- protect the safety, rights, or property of WAG or others; or
- complete or evaluate a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale of assets, or other business transaction, subject to applicable law.
We do not share personal information with unrelated third parties for their own direct marketing purposes unless we disclose that practice and obtain any consent required by applicable law.
Children’s Privacy
The Site’s forms, Interactive Features, and direct data-collection features are not intended for children under 13.
Children under 13 should not submit names, email addresses, messages, votes, quiz responses, questions, newsletter subscriptions, or other personal information through the Site.
A parent or legal guardian may contact WAG on behalf of a child.
WAG’s entertainment content may be viewed by audiences of different ages on WAG or third-party platforms. The availability of content to younger viewers does not mean that Site forms or Interactive Features are intended to collect personal information from children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly through Site forms or Interactive Features from children under 13 without authorization or other legal basis required by applicable law.
If we learn that personal information was submitted directly by a child under 13 in circumstances where we should not retain it, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has submitted personal information directly to WAG through the Site, contact us at thewildadventuregirls@gmail.com.
Teen Visitors
Some WAG visitors may be teenagers.
Visitors between 13 and 17 should use the Site, including its Interactive Features, with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law, and should avoid submitting information that is unnecessary for the purpose of contacting WAG or participating in an Interactive Feature.
Certain third-party services available through or linked from the Site may impose their own age requirements. Visitors must comply with the terms and eligibility requirements of those services.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected and for legitimate business, operational, security, recordkeeping, dispute-resolution, and legal purposes.
For example:
- inquiry information may be retained while we respond to the inquiry and for an appropriate period afterward as a business record;
- partnership and business communications may be retained as reasonably necessary for business operations and recordkeeping;
- vote, poll, and quiz-choice data is retained in aggregate to display real results and may be retained indefinitely as anonymous, non-personal statistics;
- free-text question submissions are retained for as long as reasonably necessary to consider them for future content;
- IP-based rate-limiting records are short-lived and used only to detect abusive submission patterns; and
- newsletter subscriber information may be retained while a subscription remains active and afterward as reasonably necessary to maintain unsubscribe records or comply with applicable requirements.
Retention periods may vary based on the type of information, purpose of processing, contractual obligations, service-provider practices, and applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the Site and the information we process.
We also rely on service providers to maintain security measures for systems they operate on our behalf.
However, no website, transmission method, storage system, or security measure can guarantee absolute security. We therefore cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost, or misused.
Do not send passwords, financial account information, medical records, government identification numbers, or other sensitive information through ordinary Site contact forms or Interactive Features.
Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights relating to your personal information, which may include rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how personal information is processed.
Certain rights may be subject to exceptions, verification requirements, and other limitations under applicable law.
You may contact us at thewildadventuregirls@gmail.com to make a privacy request.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests. We may also retain information where permitted or required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, recordkeeping, or other legitimate purposes.
You can unsubscribe from WAG Insider or similar marketing communications using the unsubscribe link in the applicable email.
Do Not Track and Privacy Signals
Browsers and devices may offer privacy signals or settings intended to communicate a user’s preferences regarding tracking.
Our response to legally recognized privacy signals will depend on the technologies operating on the Site and requirements applicable to WAG.
We will honor privacy signals where required by applicable law.
International Visitors
WAG operates the Site from the United States.
If you access the Site from another country, information associated with your use of the Site may be processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate.
Privacy and data-protection laws in those locations may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
Where applicable law imposes additional requirements on international transfers or processing, we and our service providers will address those requirements as applicable.
Business Transfers
If WAG or some or all of its assets or operations are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, reorganization, sale, transfer, or similar transaction, information associated with the Site may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Third-Party Policies
This Privacy Policy applies to WAG’s practices concerning this Site.
It does not govern third-party websites, applications, platforms, or services, even if they are linked to or embedded on the Site.
We encourage visitors to review the privacy policies and terms of third-party services they use.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our Site, technology, service providers, business practices, or legal requirements change, including as we add new Interactive Features.
When we update it, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before materially different practices take effect.
